Happy animals

You can tell that these animals are content.
They're warm and healthy and in unison.

When the animal scientists tell us that we can't tell whether or not a caged animal is happy, that is called gas-lighting.

There are fundamental ways in which one can trust one's perceptions.  Seeing an animal immobilized sends of alarm bells that then the "experts" gas-light --that is, tell us that it is we who are crazy, when it is they who are changing the quality of the light.

  1. You probably have already seen the report that finally science has decided animals are conscious beings (http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/animal-emotions/201208/scientists-finally-conclude-nonhuman-animals-are-conscious-beings).

They are probably following the lead of the religious authorities...it took them a while to admit that the Earth revolved around the Sun too. One of these days, after it's too late to mean anything much, they'll come around. :-)
